![]() The Minnesota Public Golf Association consists of a Board of Directors, represented by the President of each member club, and a ten-man Executive Committee elected by the Board at its fall meeting. There are over 80 member clubs, consisting of over 17,000 golfers. The purpose of the MPGA is to both promote interest in the sport and to conserve the true spirit of the game of golf. The MPGA hosts events and competitions that appeal to golfers of all abilities and ages. The overall champion of the Junior Publinks is Billy Barnhart from River Oaks who shot a 27 hole score of 108 (71/37). ![]() For all forms of Minnesota Public Golf Association (MPGA) competition, the MPGA authorizes the use of Rangefinders for distance measurements only. Notice:The Minnesota Public Golf Association will be marshalling a hole (#13) during the 2009 PGA Championship which will be held at Hazeltine in Chaska from August 10-19,2009. If you are interested in volunteering to perform this function, please review the PGA volunteer Form. The Volunteer/Uniform Fee is $180, plus sales tax. For this fee, you will receive a volunteer uniform, a copy of the official 91st PGA Championship Journal, food and water vouchers, off-site parking and shuttle service to the event. In addition you will receive a Member Volunteer Badge which will gain you access to the grounds and the Wanamaker Club all seven days of the PGA Championship (Monday, August 10 through Sunday, August 16, 2009). On Monday, May 5, 2008, the MPGA will receive a link that you will be able to use to officially sign-up to be marshals via this link. Once the MPGA receives this link, we will send the link to you so you can sign-up via this link. Payment will be by check or credit card when you sign-up on the PGA web site. All marshals must be registered by Friday, June 27, 2008. Once you are registered, you can expect to receive several mailings from the PGA Championship Office regarding the Gallery Control Committee, the Volunteer Uniform, PGA Championship history and more. Notice: Dues invoice and club information sheets were sent out in mid-January. Dues for MPGA membership are due on May 1st if your members wish to participate in Match Play Team Competition functions or play in any MPGA Championships in the 2008 golf season.
